The Kentucky House passed a budget bill on Tuesday night that includes provisions establishing subsidies for Kentucky horse breeders beginning in 2006 through revenue from the sales tax on stud fees. The bill will now be sent to Gov. Ernie Fletcher, who is expected to sign the legislation. . . . The New Hampshire Pari-Mutuel Commission has scheduled a hearing on March 28 to begin discussions over whether to revoke the license of Lakes Region Greyhound Park. The state's attorney general has recommended revoking the license because of ongoing investigations of several of the track's officials and the previously undisclosed felony convictions of two employees. . . . Edward Martin, the executive director of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, has been hired as the president of the Association of Racing Commissioners International. Martin will replace Lonny Powell, who announced his resignation late last year to join Youbet.com. . . . Fasig-Tipton's Texas 2-year-old sale, set for April 5 at 10 a.m. at Lone Star Park, will offer 264 juveniles. The auction's under-tack show will take place at Lone Star on April 3 at 10 a.m. . . .
