Al Christensen, a longtime trainer on the Nebraska circuit, died after having a heart attack Sunday morning at his shed row at Fonner Park. Christensen, who was 67, is survived by his wife, Barb. . . . Jockey Dean Butler will be out of action several months after suffering multiple fractures in his left leg when he was thrown from his mount, Bugatti's Booty, who broke down in the last race Friday at Turfway Park. Butler underwent surgery Monday in Louisville. . . . Turf Paradise canceled live racing for a third straight day Sunday when jockeys voted not to ride, citing concern about track conditions caused by heavy rain. Saturday's live program was canceled because of the track condition, and Friday's card was ended after the first race. . . . Lambholm South in Reddick, Fla., is conducting a two-session auction of stallion seasons on eBay, with proceeds going to aid victims of the South Asian tsunami.
