Beulah Park canceled its eight-race program Friday after several inches of snow fell in the central Ohio area Thursday. Racing was scheduled to resume Saturday, but a major storm was expected in the area overnight Friday. . . . Victor A. "Whitey" Doleski, who trained Knight Counter to win three straight runnings, 1972 through 1974, of the Ben Ali at Keeneland, died Wednesday in Louisville, Ky. He was 82. . . . The Ohio State Racing Commission has changed its medication rules to allow the use of Amicar instead of Lasix on race day to control internal bleeding. The commission also announced that, in an effort to control costs, 11 of its 30 staff positions will be eliminated, either by layoffs or early retirement, by April.
