Redattore, a two-time Grade 1 winner in the United States who started his breeding career this year in his native Brazil, will stand in California for 2005. Harris Farms in Coalinga, Calif., will stand Redattore, a 9-year-old son of Roi Normand, for a $4,000 live foal. . . . Tony Cruz, the leading trainer in Hong Kong, is in serious condition after being attacked at his home there, according to a report in the Racing Post. The 47-year-old Cruz, who is preparing the undefeated Silent Witness for a defense of his Hong Kong Sprint title on Dec. 12, was hit on the head when he surprised burglars Sunday night.
