Fair Grounds will offer a guaranteed $50,000 superfecta pool on the sixth race every day beginning Sunday. The guarantee will be in effect as long as the race has a minimum of 10 starters. . . . The Fair Grounds telephone and Internet wagering systems, purchased by Churchill Downs Inc. along with the track in October, have begun accepting wagers on other tracks owned by Churchill. . . . Hawthorne canceled the last four races of its scheduled nine-race Wednesday card when a continual snowfall hit an already-sloppy track. Racing was scheduled to resume Friday. . . . Keeneland has cataloged a record 2,073 horses to its January horses-of-all-ages sale, to run from Jan. 10 to 15, topping the mark of 1,992 for the 2001 sale. The 2005 sale will have 996 broodmares and broodmare prospects and 796 yearlings, as well as 255 horses of racing age and 26 stallions or stallion prospects on offer.
