Lexicon (Conquistador Cielo-Felidia, by Golden Fleece) has been retired to stand the 2002 breeding season at Meadowbrook Farms of Ocala (Fla.) Jockey Club., for $5,000 and a share price of $17,500. A 6-year-old sprint specialist, he retires with 11 wins in 36 starts, including a victory in the Grade 2 Ancient Title Breeders' Cup Handicap in 1999 and the Grade 3 Bay Meadows B. C. Sprint Handicap in 2000 and 2001; he earned $820,965. . . . Second-crop stallion Cobra King has arrived at Dunhill Stud in Reddick, Fla. Cobra King (Farma Way-Straight Story, by Fabled Monarch), who stood at Gainesway in Lexington, Ky., this year, will stand at Dunhill in 2002 for a fee of $4,000. . . . As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, the $63,000 stakes-winner Tactical Move, in foal to Commitisize, led the second session at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's fall mixed sale. The four-day auction opened Monday with average price falling 31 percent to $11,019. . . . Philadelphia Park will be closed for live racing for its fall break from Thursday until Saturday, Oct. 20. The track will continue to offer its full simulcast schedule.
