Damson and Soar, one-two in the Group 3 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, will clash again in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes for 2-year-olds going six furlongs at Newmarket on Thursday. Suez, unbeaten in two races, looks best of their five opponents. . . . The former shareholders of Dueling Grounds racetrack in Kentucky, sold in 1997 to a consortium headed by Churchill Downs and renamed Kentucky Downs, were awarded a $44 million judgment Monday in a case that has lasted seven years. A jury awarded the judgment against one of the track's directors and the company's chief accountant, finding them guilty of fraud and conspiracy. . . . The final three races on Tuesday's program at Delaware Park were canceled because of heavy rain.
