The NTRA National Pick 4 wager will be offered again Sunday, linking the Atto Mile from Woodbine with the Matron Stakes, Ruffian Handicap, and Futurity from Belmont. The races will air live on ABC from 4-6 p.m. Eastern. . . . The Breeders' Cup board of directors has approved up to $750,000 in additional purse money to races in a proposed series called the Thoroughbred Championship Tour. The board had already approved $3 million to the series. . . . Former jockey Donald Holmes died of cancer at his home Friday at age 70. Holmes, who rode from 1953 to 1976 and won titles at Hazel Park, Detroit Race Course, and Fair Grounds, won the Louisiana Derby aboard Ask the Fare in 1967. . . . All Finish Line offtrack betting locations in southeast Louisiana were to be closed Wednesday because of anticipated inclement weather caused by Hurricane Ivan.
