Veterinarians from the Texas Racing Commission have examined all 1,450 horses stabled at Lone Star Park and found no cases of vesicular stomatitis, the viral disease found in horses elsewhere in Texas, the track said Wednesday. Breeders' Cup officials have expressed concern that this year's World Thoroughbred Championships, scheduled to be held at Lone Star on Oct. 30, might have to be relocated because of the disease outbreak. . . . Ferdinand "Fred Schnozz" Krieger, a longtime jockey's agent and racing official, died at his Atco, N.J., home Saturday at age 94. Visitation was scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Landolfi Funeral Home in St. Paulsboro, N.J., with burial to follow.
