Jockey Russell Baze, who completed Wednesday's racing at Bay Meadows with 7,494 career winners, has been given a three-day suspension beginning Monday. Baze was cited for "failure to make a proper effort to maintain a straight course in the stretch" while aboard Worthy Deed in the seventh race last Monday. . . . Kirk LeBlanc, the leading rider at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, La., begins a seven-day suspension for careless riding on Saturday. LeBlanc, suspended for his ride in the $50,000 Prelude on Monday, will return to the saddle Sept. 15.
