Theatrical, sire of 2001 Grade 1 winners Astra and Startac, will stand in 2002 for a $100,000 stud fee, up from his 2001 fee of $80,000. John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Lexington, Ky., where Theatrical was moved last week from Diamond A Farms, has purchased a 25 percent interest in the Theatrical, a 19-year-old Nureyev stallion, from the Allen E. Paulson Living Trust. . . . Fasig-Tipton's two-day Texas summer yearling sale ended Tuesday at Lone Star Park with a 16 percent increase in the average price, to $5,786, but buy-backs also rose, from 23 percent to 30 percent. The auction sold a total of 184 lots for $1,064,600, up 7 percent from last year, when 200 yearlings sold.
