Etc. . . .

Jockey Travis Dunkelberger will be sidelined six to eight weeks after breaking his collarbone Friday night when Baby Shark tossed the rider at Charles Town. The 26-year old ranks 15th in the nation with 193 victories. . . . Ramon Dominguez, the leading rider in North America by victories, set a Delaware Park single-season record with his 219th victory Monday. Dominguez tied the record held by Mike McCarthy when he won the first race with Ocelot and broke it when he won aboard I'vegotthemusicinme in the sixth. . . . Former NBA star Manute Bol will don a specially made set of silks over his 7-foot-7 frame this weekend at Hoosier Park and become the world's tallest jockey. Bol, a native of Sudan, will be raising funds to help the plight of the people in that civil war-torn land through his Ring True Foundation. He will not ride in a race.
