Lytle Creek, a 6-year-old gelding, set a turf course record on closing day of the Bay Meadows Fair meeting Monday, running five furlongs in 56.71 seconds. Lytle Creek broke the record of 56.75 seconds set by Maria's Mirage in the Woodside Handicap on April 20. . . . Racing at Arapahoe Park was canceled Tuesday because of an uneven racing surface following a Monday storm. Six of the nine scheduled races will be added to the Sunday and Monday cards, making for 12 races on each of the final two days of the meet. . . . Shareholders of Magna International, the auto-parts company that is the majority shareholder of the racetrack operator Magna Entertainment Corporation, voted Monday to create a publicly traded company that would include the majority stake in Magna Entertainment as well as some real-estate properties. The new company, MI Developments, will own all of Magna's automotive real-estate assets, valued at $1.1 billion, plus 96 percent of the voting shares of MEC.
