Dick Riley, a popular broadcaster and race-caller best known for working the summer fair circuit in northern California, died Sunday of cancer in a convalescent home near Santa Anita at age 74. Graveside services will be held on Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 4301 E. Whittier Blvd. in Los Angeles. . . . Trainer Robert James "Jimmy Cag" Cagney died Aug. 6 in Oldsmar, Fla., at age 79. A New York native, Cagney trained in Ohio before moving to Florida in 1950. . . . The Fort Erie card was canceled Tuesday after one race because of unsafe track conditions resulting from recent heavy rainfall. Live racing was scheduled to resume Saturday.
