Apprentice jockey Mick Ruis, 16, had his first double on Thursday at Hollywood Park, scoring wins aboard Big Bonus ($46.20) and Long Gone Con ($8.40) in the fifth and sixth races. Ruis won the first race of his career on June 19. . . . Nominations for the six stakes races that will be run during the four-day Horsemen's Park meet in Omaha, Neb., close Sunday. The meet runs from July 10-13, and is topped by the $100,000 Omaha Handicap for 3-year-olds and up at one mile. . . . Eddie Martin Jr., won the 2,500th race of his career Friday when he guided Go West Again ($4.40) to victory in the seventh race at Louisiana Downs. Martin is the current leading rider at Lone Star Park, but was in Louisiana to ride a stakes Friday.
