The Oregon-based wagering hub operated by Television Games Network handled $13,033,508 for the second quarter of 2001, according to the Oregon Racing Commission. The handle, which included bets from six states - Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Oregon - was up 135 percent from the comparable period in 2000. . . . MTR Gaming Group, which operates Mountaineer Park in Chester, W. Va., reported net income of $5.1 million for the second quarter of 2001, an increase of 19 percent over 2000. Bolstered by increases in its slot machine revenue, MTR's net income for the first six months of 2001 was up 23 percent from last year. . . . What would be the 15th white Thoroughbred registered with The Jockey Club has been reported in by breeders Dee and Wayne Simpson of Loranger, La.
