Delta Downs on Friday was granted a two-week extension to its current Quarter Horse meeting. With the additional dates, the meet will run through July 13. . . . Live racing was canceled after the fifth race at State Fair Park in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday when the riders voted not to continue, citing unsafe track conditions. The State Fair Breeders' Stakes for 3-year-old Nebraska-breds was rescheduled for this Saturday. . . . A total of 292 horses, including a record 45 who were nominated at a cost of $500 each, have been made eligible for Claiming Crown 2003, the $550,000 day of racing that will be held at Canterbury Park on July 19. . . . HorseRacing TV, the 24-hour horse racing network owned by Magna Entertainment, will be launched in 64,000 homes in Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Georgia, the company announced on Monday. With the additions, HRTV will be available in 1.25 million homes.
