Television Games Network has signed an agreement with Cox Communications, the fifth-largest cable company in the U.S., to carry TVG on some of its networks. TVG will be available on Cox's San Diego system in April, and other markets, including Orange County, Calif., are expected to follow later this year, officials said. . . . Ruben Martinez Jr., a former jockey who rode throughout the Midwest and Southern California from 1969 to 1984, died Wednesday in Houston at age 50. He is survived by a daughter, Marsha; a son, Ruben III; and two grandchildren. . . . Jockey Pat Day will sign autographs and then ride at Lone Star Park on April 3, opening night of the track's 70-day Thoroughbred meet. Day will be the guest of honor at a fund-raising party at the track April 2.
