Turfway Park canceled its Friday card because of a forecast for snow and freezing rain for the northern Kentucky area. The cancelation was the second straight and the fourth of the meet. . . . Jockey Terry Thompson won five races Wednesday at Oaklawn. He won the first with On the Severn ($33.40), the third with Butch Pistol ($7.40), the fourth with Carr De Bon Bon ($3.20), the fifth with Premier Rocket ($3.40), and the sixth with Casperuvian ($46). . . . Starquine.com, an online Thoroughbred sales company, will host an auction of stallion seasons from Feb. 17-24. Stallions with seasons on offer include the 2000 Belmont Stakes winner, Commendable, graded stakes winner City Zip, and Lear Fan. . . . England-based Tattersalls and Ireland's Goffs auction houses have reach an agreement over their fall auction dates, the Racing Post reported Friday, in which Tattersalls (Ireland) will hold its Fairyhouse September yearling sale on its traditional dates of Sept. 16-18, and the Goffs Orby and Challenge yearling sale will run Sept. 23-25. Tattersalls had announced previously that it would hold the Fairyhouse auction a week later after Goffs opted to move the Orby and Challenge sale from October to mid-September. . . . Evangeline Downs in Lafayette, La., has joined the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.
