Ipi Tombe, a Zimbabwean-bred daughter of Manshood owned by Team Valor, WinStar Farm, and Sunmark Partners, won the Al Fahidi Fort, a one-mile listed turf race, at Nad Al Sheba on Thursday night. Trained by South African-based Mike de Kock, Ipi Tombe won by 2 1/4 lengths, getting the mile in 1:37.00. . . . Dan Fick, executive director of racing for the American Quarter Horse Association since 1985, has been named executive vice president and executive director of The Jockey Club.
