Jockey Alfredo Miranda bruised a bone in his right leg in a training accident Saturday at Golden Gate Fields. X-rays showed Miranda had not broken his leg, but he took off his mounts Saturday and Sunday; he may be able to ride again Wednesday. . . . A storm that created unsafe track conditions forced Philadelphia Park to cancel Monday's live racing. Racing was scheduled to resume Tuesday. . . . Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday in Montclair, Calif., for Matt Griffin, a California horseman who spent 40 years in the sport. Griffin, 68, who most recently was farm manager at Circle H Farm in Murrieta, Calif., had been hospitalized since Dec. 21. . . . Jockey Jason Lumpkins won five races Sunday at Turfway Park, including three for trainer Vickie Foley.
