EmailTrainer Tony Dutrow recorded his 1,000th career victory Thursday at Belmont when La Ransom won the last race, one of two wins on the day for Dutrow, who took the second with Wild Quake. Dutrow, 49, is the older brother of Richard Dutrow Jr., who earlier this year won his 1,000th career race. . . . Frank Stronach's Adena Springs breeding operation has purchased the 2004 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner, Wilko, and will stand him in 2008 at Adena Springs South in Williston, Fla. The 5-year-old horse will stand for $10,000. . . . . . . A yearling colt by Repent brought a bid of $90,000 from B.W. Hughes to top the Breeders Sales Co. of Louisiana auction Monday. In total, 149 yearlings sold for an average of $8,559.
