Behrens, a multiple Grade 1 winner, will relocate from Kentucky to Victory Rose Thoroughbreds in in Vacaville, Calif., for the 2008 season. A 13-year-old Pleasant Colony horse, Behrens has stood at Darby Dan Farm since he entered stud in 2001, this year for $5,000, but his 2008 fee has not been announced. . . . The directory of stallion operations at Stonewall Farm near Midway, Ky., Ken Wilkins, has resigned from that position effective immediately, citing differences of opinion on management practices. Stonewall's manager, Bert Welker, said that the farm has not yet found a replacement for Wilkins. . . . The House of Representatives on Thursday night passed a bill that includes a provision removing funding from inspectors at horse slaughterhouses, a measure that also passed two years ago as a way to stop the slaughter of horses for human consumption.
