The final rating for last Saturday's Kentucky Derby broadcast on NBC-TV was a 7.5, the best Derby rating in six years and up 7 percent from last year's 7.0. NBC said that based on its research, 11.5 million people watched the broadcast, up 8 percent. . . . The New York Racing Association has named John Lee, NYRA's director of broadcasting the past four years, as its director of communications and media relations. NYRA has also named John Imbriale as manager of media services and assistant track announcer.
