Former central Kentucky farm owner and Thoroughbred breeder Dreabon Copeland, 84, died of heart problems on Feb. 26 in Houston, Tex., the Houston Chronicle reported. Copeland campaigned such homebred stakes winners as Angel Trumpet and Saucy Mae and Grade 2-placed stakes winner Lakeside Cup. . . . Real Quiet, the 1998 champion 3-year-old, continued to undergo treatment Wednesday for an abscess in his left hind foot. Syndicate manager Mike Jester said that the 12-year-old Quiet American horse was "a lot more comfortable" on Wednesday and that veterinarians were continuing to soak his feet in hopes of bursting a suspected abscess in the right hind foot.
