This year's Breeders' Cup Steeplechase will be run Oct. 20 at the Far Hills Race Meeting in New Jersey, it was announced Friday. The $250,000 race made its return to the calendar last year after a six-year absence. . . . The Oregon Racing Commission approved Television Games Network's application to operate an account-wagering hub in the state, during a meeting on Friday. TVG plans to take over on July 1 a hub that was previously operated by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. . . . The Ontario Racing Commission is delaying a judgment in the case of prominent Ontario owner Bruno Schickedanz, whose appeal hearing of a proposed order to revoke his owner's license concluded Thursday in Toronto. "There's been a lot of material filed, and I imagine it's going to take them a while," said Joanne Mitchell, counsel for the O.R.C. . . . Charlie Woods rode his first winner since injuring a knee last fall when he piloted Mandy Jud to victory in Friday's second race at Churchill Downs.
