Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Colo., canceled the remainder of its card after its second race on Sunday because of inclement weather. Among the races canceled was the $20,000 Colorado Stallion Stakes. . . . Jockey Quincy Hamilton won his 1,000th race on Saturday with Classic Actress ($20.20) in the seventh race at Arlington Park. . . . . . . A hearing by the the Arkansas Racing Commission concerning It's a Bird, who tested positive for the Class 4 medication naproxen following his win in the Grade 2, $500,000 Oaklawn Handicap on April 4, has been postponed to an undetermined date. The case had been scheduled to be heard at the commission's meeting on Tuesday . . . . The government of Ontario has reappointed Bernard F. Brennan to the board of the Ontario Racing Commission for one year, effective May 29. Brennan, a veterinarian, was first named to the commission's board in 2002 . . . . Douglas Murphy has been elected to the board of directors of the Woodbine Entertainment Group. Murphy, 46, has served in senior positions with the Walt Disney Company.
