The minimum losing mount fee at Finger Lakes Racetrack and Gaming in Farmington, N.Y., has been increased from $55 to $70 under a prior agreement between the track and the Jockeys' Guild. The agreement included a clause that provided for the raise if certain "milestones" were reached after the track agreed to raise minimum mount fees in October 2007, according to the Guild. . . . Mill Ridge Sales in Lexington, Ky., has hired Melissa Dailey for its sales department. Dailey will assist sales and stallion manager Mike Recio, according to Mill Ridge's managing partner, Headley Bell. . . . . . . Graded stakes-winner Silent Name, now a stallion standing in Canada for Adena Springs and Gardiner Farms, will shuttle for the first time to Brazil this year for the southern hemisphere breeding season. A 7-year-old Sunday Silence-Danzigaway horse, Silent Name has been standing in Ontario for about $4,300. In Brazil Silent Name will stand at Haras Ponta Pora under an agreement brokered by TBS Agency (Brazil).
