Jorge Ricardo, the world's winningest jockey with 10,520 winners, had his skull fractured in a three-horse spill in the Gran Premio Latinoamericano at Cidade Jardim in Brazil on Saturday in a race eventually won by Hot Six. Ricardo is expected to be out of action for 90 days. . . . Delta Downs canceled the last eight races of its Saturday-night card after the jockeys refused to ride because of track conditions caused by inclement weather.
