Grassick had an array of international clients and managed about 30 broodmares in the United States. . . . A $446,400 Redoute's Choice colt topped the second session Thursday at Australia's Magic Millions Conrad Jupiters yearling sale, going to trainer Kris Lees from seller Wood Nook Farm (Amarina Farm, agent). Through its second day, the auction had sold 274 yearlings for about $27,155,520, down 12 percent from last year, an average of approximately $99,107, down 8 percent. . . . . Fox Tale Stud in Coopersburg, Pa. - which stands Request for Parole, Capitano, Rubiyat, and Smart Guy in 2009 - will host an open house and stallion show on Jan. 25 from 1-3 p.m. The event will feature free drawings for stallion seasons.
