Etc. . . .

Rahy's Attorney, Canada's entry in Saturday's $2.2 million Mile Championship in Japan, completed his seven-day stay in the Shiroi Quarantine Center near Tokyo on Monday morning and was transferred to Kyoto Racecourse after a nine-hour van journey. The Woodbine Mile winner, Rahy's Attorney will likely face 17 Japanese-trained rivals, among them Grade 2 Mainichi Okan winner Super Hornet and Grade 1-winning sprinter Suzuka Phoenix. . . . Finger Lakes canceled after the second race of a nine-race card Tuesday because of poor weather conditions. . . . The Curragh, Ireland's leading racecourse, has scrapped plans to redevelop its grandstand and surrounding properties. As a result, three Group 1 races that had been moved to other tracks for 2009, the Moyglare Stud Stakes, Irish St. Leger, and the National Stakes, will remain at the Curragh.
