Jockey Frank Alvarado guided first-timer Skimasco ($28.60) to victory in the fourth race Thursday at Golden Gate Fields for the rider's 2,000th career victory. . . . The annual Eclipse Awards presentation dinner will again be held in south Florida next January after after a four-year run in Beverly Hills, Calif., the National Thoroughbred Racing Association announced Friday. The event will be held Jan. 26 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. . . . . Pamela and Martin Wygod, the prominent California-based owners and breeders, have donated $250,000 to Breeders' Cup Charities, Breeders' Cup announced Thursday. The donation, on behalf of the Wygods' WebMD Foundation for health care, is the first from the Thoroughbred industry to Breeders' Cup Charities, established this year.
