Kieren Fallon's last-ditch effort to have his 18-month suspension for a second cocaine positive reduced was rejected by France-Galop stewards Tuesday. The Woodbine Entertainment Group announced that it has completed the first phase of a three-year, $5 million energy conservation program that will save the company $475,000 a year. Among the energy-saving initiatives are a new automation system to control energy use inside and outside the main building, occupancy sensors to make lighting more efficient, and new boilers for heat and hot water.
