Hoosier Park jockeys Luis Martinez, Terry Thompson, and Rafael Bejarano escaped serious injury Wednesday in a three-horse spill during the fourth race. Martinez's mount, Call Me Eliane, broke down and was euthanized, but the other two horses were unhurt. . . . The Tattersalls December sales in Newmarket, England, which produced record gains at its yearling session Monday, continued the momentum Thursday at the second of four foal sessions. The session sold 174 lots for $4,893,079 - average price climbed 37 percent from last year's level to $28,120 - and the day's top price was $122,063 for a Pivotal filly bought by Cheveley Park Stud manager Chris Richardson. . . . Ramon Dominguez, who had been sidelined since July 24 with a broken left wrist, returned by riding his first mount, Quick Punch ($4), to a wire-to-wire victory Thursday at Laurel Park.
