Television announcer Tom Hammond will be unable to host NBC's broadcast of the Breeders' Cup on Saturday as he recovers from double-bypass heart surgery performed last week, NBC officials said Monday. Hammond will contribute an unspecified report to the broadcast from his home in Lexington, the officials said, and the roles of other members of the broadcast team will be expanded. . . . A power outage at Hollywood Park on Sunday forced the plant to be closed for simulcasting, which typically attracts approximately 4,000 patrons and handles more than $1 million on Sundays as a simulcast outlet for the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita. Hollywood was expected to re-open Wednesday.
