Russell Baze, the nation's leading rider with 312 victories, notched five wins on Sunday's card at Bay Meadows. Baze won the first race aboard Twelveyearslater ($6.20), the second on River Bridge ($4.40) when Madison Davis was disqualified, the fifth with Colonel Kelly ($5.80), the sixth with Lucky Sabre ($15.60), and the eighth on Surprise Halo ($5). . . . Jockey Robert Messina won two consecutive races at Finger Lakes on Saturday, giving him 2,000 winners in his career. Both Storm on the Lake ($6.20) in the sixth and Twisting Coast ($9) in the seventh were wire-to-wire-winners.
