Lets Just Do It ($5.80) cruised to a three-length victory over four 2-year-old fillies in Monday's $58,300 Irish Sonnet Stakes at Delaware Park. Owner-trainer John Casey said he would likely run Lets Just Do It next in the one-mile, $100,000 Blue Hen Stakes at Delaware on Oct. 19. . . . Well Made sprung a three-quarter-length 8-1 surprise win over Salve Regina in the Group 1 Preis von Europa at Cologne on Sunday. Yavana's Pace finished third, 5 1/4 lengths behind Well Made. . . . At Longchamp on Sunday, Dalakhani ran away with the Group 3 Prix des Chenes. Future plans for the winner, a 2-year-old half-brother to Daylami, have not yet been announced. . . . An estimated 4,000 fans turned out for Saturday's one-day meet at Horsemen's Atokad Downs in South Sioux City, Neb. In the day's feature races, Full Response ($9.20) won the $20,000 Robert E. Lee Classic starter allowance and Schadow ($29) won the $15,000 Nebraska Thoroughbred Breeders' Special. . . . Gross sales jumped 16 percent to $192,150 while the average price of the 88 horses sold dipped 1 percent to $2,184 at the Oregon Thoroughbred Breeders Association's annual mixed sale, which was held Saturday at Oakhurst Farm in Newberg, Ore. The sale-topper was a yearling filly by Abstract out of Hot Zee, a stakes-producing daughter of Table Run, who was purchased by Allen Floyd of Othello, Wash., for $14,000 from the consignment of Michael and Amy Stafford.
