Jockey Nick Santagata will miss five to six weeks of action after breaking his left wrist when he was thrown from his mount during the post parade for the first race Friday night at The Meadowlands. . . . Eleven-year-old Zippy Chippy remained winless Sunday, losing the 96th race of his career when he ran sixth in a field of eight in the first race at Northampton. The 8-1 fourth choice, the gelding finished less than six lengths behind the winner. . . . Rockingham Park will hold a memorial service Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for Allen Gerald Schiff, an assistant starter at tracks in New England and New Jersey, who died of a heart attack on Sept. 9 at age 54. . . . The 25-day Columbus race meet in Columbus, Neb., had average daily attendance of 1,892 and average daily handle of $58,495, with average attendance down less than 1 percent from last year and handle up 2 percent. Armando Martinez led the rider standings and David Anderson led the trainer standings.
