Johnie Jamison, who trained horses on the Southwest circuit for five decades, died Monday after a brief illness. He was 64. Jamison, whose most recent success was Roll Hennessy Roll, a 2-year-old son of Hennessy who won the Los Ninos Stakes on July 28 and the Ruidoso Thoroughbred Futurity on Sept. 2 at Ruidoso Downs, is survived by his wife, Helen, and three children. . . . Jockey Mark Johnston rode his 3,000th career winner Thursday aboard Komba ($6.60) in the second race at Pimlico, winning by 10 lengths. Johnston, 31, won the Eclipse Award as top apprentice in 1990 and has produced 2,719 of his victories in Maryland.
