Jerry Carkeek took advantage of the departure of leading riders Perry Compton and Ken Shino to win six races on Friday's 10-race card at Fonner Park. The sixth rider in track history to ride six or more winners on a single card, Carkeek moved into a tie for third in the jockey standings with Dennis Collins with 31 wins. . . . For Rubies and jockey Justin Vitek made a strong middle move and went on to score a three-quarter length victory over Don't Countess Out in Friday's $50,000 Goldfinch Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, the opening night feature at Prairie Meadows. For Rubies ($10.40), trained by Lynn Whiting, ran six furlongs in 1:10.13. . . . Ms Well ($19), trained by Scott Lake and ridden by Clinton Potts, scored a 3 1/4-length victory over Haunted Lass in Saturday's $75,000 Peach Blossom Stakes, the opening-day feature at Delaware Park. She covered six furlongs in 1:10.51.
