Racing was canceled at Sportsman's Park on Tuesday after jockeys cited concerns with the condition of the racing surface, the fourth straight day racing has been suspended at the track, the result of a strong winter storm that first hit the area on Saturday. The track is scheduled to resume racing on Friday. . . . NBC-TV will broadcast the Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland live during a 90-minute telecast on April 13. The Blue Grass telecast will be preceded by a one-hour broadcast on ESPN featuring the Wood Memorial. . . . The Virginia House of Delegates narrowly voted down a racing bill on Tuesday that would have allowed the Virginia Racing Commission to authorize and regulate account wagering, according to Stan Bowker, the executive secretary of the commission. The bill, however, was approved for reconsideration, and may come up for another vote, Bowker said. . . . The board of directors of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations, a racetrack trade group, has re-elected Bryan Krantz as president, the TRA said Tuesday, to a one-year term. Krantz is the president and part-owner of Fair Grounds racetrack in New Orleans.
