Sakhee will have his sole prep for the Dubai World Cup in a 1 1/4-mile conditions race on dirt at Nad Al Sheba Thursday night. The race, with Frankie Dettori slated to be in the saddle, will be the first start for Sakhee, a 5-year-old son of Bahri, since his narrow loss to Tiznow in the Breeders' Cup Classic on Oct. 27. . . . The Jockey Club of Canada announced Monday that the 28th annual Sovereign Awards ceremony, which will honor the best in Canadian Thoroughbred horse racing and breeding in 2002, will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto.
