Etc. . .

The ReRun Thoroughbred adoption program has a new fund-raising project that lets the horses be the artists, with Tiznow one of the participants. "Moneigh: Equine Expression" will create artwork by letting horses "paint" with their lips, hooves, or tails, using nontoxic paint on paper; the resulting "paintings" will be auctioned in conjunction with ReRun's auction in Lexington on March 30. . . . The purse for the Lane's End Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park has been set at $500,000 for this year, $100,000 lower than it has been since 1993. The decision to reduce the purse was made to keep overnight purses at their current level. . . . Fasig-Tipton Midlantic has cataloged 188 lots for its winter mixed sale on Feb. 4 at Timonium in Maryland. The sale, which begins at 11 a.m. with in-foal broodmares and breeding prospects, includes 20 lots from the estate of the late trainer Robert Camac, who was killed in December.
