Ken Filacchione, a writer and handicapper whose work ran under the name Ken Fila, was killed by a hit-and-run driver in New York City on Saturday night. Filacchione, 62, is survived by his wife, Laura, and two sons. . . . Trust N Luck, a Grade 1 winner who stood for three seasons at Vinery in Kentucky, will move to Vinery's Florida division for 2007. Trust N Luck (Montbrook-Bold Burst, by Dahar), whose first crop are yearlings this year, will stand for $5,000. . . . Great Lakes Downs canceled its Monday card after jockeys walked the track surface and voted not to ride. Rain in the area had started Saturday evening and continued through Monday morning. . . . A broken water valve near Philadelphia Park that left the track without any running water prompted management to cancel Monday's racing.
