Wild Rex extended his unbeaten streak to four with a 1 1/4-length victory Thursday in the $60,000 Anderson Fowler Stakes for 3-year-olds at Monmouth Park. Ridden by Stewart Elliott for trainer Michael Pino, Wild Rex ($9) covered about 5 1/2 furlongs on firm turf in 1:01.66. . . . Northern California owner Ronelle Heller died Thursday at age 59 following a long illness. Heller, who along with her late husband, Bart, campaigned multiple-stakes-winning millionaire Dixie Dot Com, also served on the board of the Northern California Thoroughbred Association and the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association. . . . The Kentucky Thoroughbred Association and the Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders have elected three new members to their board of directors: trainer Frank Brothers, veterinarian Stuart Brown, and breeder Craig Bandoroff. They join six directors who were reelected: Charles Nuckols III, Tom VanMeter, Bill Greely, Neil Howard, William T. Young Jr., and Steve Penrod.
