Jockey Richard Eramia reached 2,000 wins in North America on Monday, when he guided Conquest Hiosilver to victory in the eighth race at Remington Park.   Eramia rode in South America for 10 years prior to coming to the United States in 2005. He won the national riding title five times in his native Uruguay. Eramia’s first mounts in North America came at Tampa Bay Downs.   Eramia won three races on the Remington card Monday, starting with the opener aboard Sweet Apple ($15.60). He then guided Whiskey Tree ($3.60) to the horse's seventh consecutive victory in race 6 before notching the milestone with Conquest Hiosilver ($7.60). “It means a lot,” Eramia said. “It takes a lot of years and a lot of hard work.” Eramia launched his career on June 28, 1995, winning with his first mount. The 38-year-old has won five titles at Louisiana Downs and one at Lone Star Park. Following the close of the Remington meet on Dec. 17, he plans to base at Oaklawn. Eramia was aboard Conquest Hiosilver for Black Hawk Stable and trainer Kenneth Nolen. He is the second-leading rider at the Remington meet.  :: Enjoy news and analysis from DRF?
