Electrode best in Airline Stakes

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Electrode remained perfect in three starts this year when he drove to a commanding 2.25-length win over stablemate Remember The Party in the $40,000 Airline Stakes at Louisiana Downs on Sunday.

It was another 2.25 lengths back in third to Walk In The Snow.

Electrode($12.80) broke sharp in the Airline, and pushed pacesetter Hail To Bag through an opening half-mile in 44.94 seconds. He took the lead past the quarter pole, and went on to cover the six furlongs for 3-year-olds in 1:10.59.

Jockey Anthony Lovato rode Electrode for owner Jack Brooks and trainer Cole Norman.

Electrode has not lost as a 3-year-old this year, winning a maiden claiming race and an entry-level allowance at Lone Star Park near Dallas before taking the Airline. Last year at 2, he was unplaced in two starts in Florida.

Electrode earned $24,000 for the win Sunday, which improved his bankroll to $47,770.
