Danny Pish picked up his eighth straight training title at Retama Park when the meet closed Saturday night. Pish won 43 races, winning the title by 17 wins over second-leading trainer Michelle Lovell. Pish also led all trainers in stable earnings at the meet, with $448,152. Larry Taylor won his second straight Retama riding title, with 60 wins. His mounts earned $597,431, which led all riders at the track. Roimes Chirinos was second in the standings with 58 wins, six of which came closing night at Retama. Chirinos, a 24-year-old native of Venezuela, won the second, third, fourth, seventh, eighth, and ninth races, with his biggest payoff coming in the seventh with Flewsy Q, who paid $24. Retama reported a tie for leading owner, between Tbd Owners LLC and the partnership of Lucas Downs and Agave Racing Stable.
