Eight juveniles tie for fastest furlong ahead of Louisiana sale

Eight juveniles tied for the fastest time for an eighth of a mile Sunday during the under-tack show for the Equine Sales Co. of Louisiana sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age, each hitting the mark in 10 1/5 seconds.

The horses breezed at Copper Crowne Training Center in Opelousas, La. Following are those eight juveniles.

• Hip 6, Nunc Pro Tunc, a Private Vow colt out of the stakes-placed Citidancer mare All Attitude, whose three foals to race are all winners. The Louisiana-bred comes from the family of stakes winner Plain All Over and is consigned by Pike Racing, agent.

• Hip 13, Tellumyourthemayor, a Tale of the Cat filly out of the placed Dixieland Band mare Diva From Dixie. Consigned by Boutte Sales, agent, the Louisiana-bred is from the family of Grade 2 winners Possible Mate and Fairy Garden and Grade 3 winner Paladin Bay.

• Hip 17, Andthebandplayedon, a Star Guitar filly out of the unplaced Anet mare Feels Like Friday, whose four foals to race are all winners. Feels Like Friday is a full sister to Grade 1 winner and 2006 Louisiana Horse of the Year Happy Ticket and a half-sister to stakes winner Clever Seven. Irish champion Kilijaro is in the extended family of the Louisiana-bred filly, who is consigned by Benchmark Training Center, agent.

• Hip 26, Eye Craft, a Songandaprayer filly out of the placed Crafty Prospector mare Ihavemyeyeonyou, who is the dam of three winners from four foals to race. Horse of the Year Holy Bull and Grade 1 winner Sweet Symphony can be found on the page of this Louisiana-bred, who is consigned by 5B Farm, agent.

• Hip 27, Just a Bandit, a Time Bandit filly out of the winning Afternoon Deelites mare Just Alex, who has had one winner from three foals to race. The Louisiana-bred is from the family of Grade 1 winner Taylor’s Special and Italian 2000 Guineas winner Golden Titus. She is consigned by Boutte Sales.

• Hip 29, Noneya, a first-crop Flat Out filly who is the first foal out of the winning Langfuhr mare Langsyne. She is from the family of champion Little Current, Grade 1 winner Hard Spun, and Argentine Group 2 winner Rival Dan. Pike Racing consigns the Louisiana-bred as agent.

• Hip 30, a Songandaprayer filly out of the placed Woodman mare Lavender Sea, whose three winners from four runners include stakes-placed Blessed Immaculata and Danny T. Grade/Group 2 winners Crockadore and Storm Mesa are in the Louisiana-bred’s extended family, as is Group 3 winner Flowing. Pike Racing consigns the filly as agent.

• Hip 40, Boogie Toogie, a Discreet Cat colt who is the first foal out of the winning More Than Ready mare Morediamondsplease. Notable runners on the page include Grade/Group 1 winners Al Mamoon, Delectation, and La Gueriere; Grade 2 winner Apart; and Grade 3 winners Lost Soldier and Gamay Noir. 5B Farm consigns the colt as agent.

The auction will take place Tuesday, beginning at 11 a.m. Central.
