ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Edenwold won his second straight stakes after breaking from the one post Sunday at Woodbine in the $159,900 Vandal, a six-furlong dash for Ontario-foaled 2-year-olds.

Edenwold dueled on the lead with No Dilettante through fractions of :22.98 and :45.89, as Victoria's Boy stalked three-wide in third. Victoria's Boy loomed boldly exiting the turn, and drew evenly with Edenwold at the eighth pole, but Edenwold dug in and drew off for a two and a quarter-length tally.

"We drew the one-hole again, so it limited our options," said David Clark, who also rode Edenwold when he took the July 23 Colin Stakes for trainer Josie Carroll. "He was very comfortable where he was, and when I called on him, he punched home."

Edenwold ($5.40) earned $95,940 for owners Jim and Alice Sapara.

Victoria's Boy finished a clear second, while favored Moon Worship closed for third in the five-horse field. The final time was 1:10.29.
